Hi, my name is Krista! 👋

I’m currently a 3rd year PhD candidate at Stanford’s Artificial Intelligence Lab (SAIL). I am advised by Chris Potts and my research is supported by the NSF.

Prior to starting the PhD, I worked for 4 years in industry as a Software Engineer, Product Manager, and Machine Learning Engineer at Microsoft & Google. I did my undergrad at Duke University, where I graduated cum laude with a double major in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering.

I joined Google through their APM program, and worked as a Product Manager on products including the Google Pixel watch and Google Search. In order to stay technical and dive deeper into ML engineering and research, I also ended up collaborating with Google Brain and Google Health for ~3 years as a 20% MLE on a number of AI research projects. I loved it so much that I decided to go for the PhD!
